There is no doubt that our connection with the natural world is essential for our emotional, cognitive, physical, aesthetic and spiritual well-being and development. Our well-being days are designed to help you and your teams to reconnect with the natural world, and with each other

Working from home or hybrid working can be a fantastic model for today’s workforce, yet it can leave colleagues with a sense of isolation from each other, and from the world beyond their ‘office’ door. Wellbeing walks with Adventure Unlocked are a wonderful way for your teams to reconnect with each other and reconnect with the natural world around them.

Devised with our consultant psychotherapist and resident mountain leaders, our well-being walks will help your team escape the demands of their laptops and mobiles and engage with the natural world as we enjoy a walk in the countryside together. It is our aim that through this your team will feel some of the stresses they started with lifting off them, and that they will leave with a shifting perspective on others.

Welcoming

We want you to feel at home in the countryside, so we will welcome you to the start of your wellbeing walk with a drink fresh from the Kelly Kettle and some cake or biscuits. This welcome is an invaluable time to meet each other, outline the day and route, chat through expectations and anxieties, and ensure everyone has the right kit to be comfortable and safe.

Practical

Our professional mountain leaders want to make your wellbeing walk run as smoothly as possible. From the moment you make your booking to getting back in the car at the end of the walk, we will provide you with all the information you need, and take care of the practical arrangements to ensure all members of your team can get the most from your day. We are particularly mindful that fitness levels can vary hugely, and our routes are chosen with that in mind, we don’t want the route to be an obstacle to people enjoying the walk.

Empowering

It can be surprisingly easy to have an outdoors with an indoors mindset. Somehow our sense of awareness of what is around us can limited to our immediate space. Using simple and effective exercises your walk leaders will help you become more aware of the wider world, noticing things which might have otherwise passed us by. This invites us to change our perspective on things which have been playing on our mind or are causing us anxiety. Your walk leaders will also share local information about the area and nature to help you engage more with the walk
